Online zooms work wonderfully for juggling and magic lessons.
But there is no substitute for live contact between people, for the interaction between performer and audience. Social isolation is tragic and disturbing.

And so it seethes in secret, not only among the creators of culture, but among the enjoyers of live events. With a little cleverness, so much more would be possible even now.
